Stop a file protection replication session

Network-attached storage is a file-level storage architecture that makes stored data more accessible to networked devices.

About this task

See Understanding PowerMax File for storage systems for an overview of PowerMax File.

When there are multiple replication sessions, you may want to stop the data synchronization for some of the low priority replication sessions to give priority to other replication sessions. Stop replication helps in achieving this. Stop replication would render the session in suspended state.

NOTE: If any failure occurs during the Stop Replication Session , the replication session enters the PartialActive state, and an Error dialogue box is displayed. The PartialActive state allows you to complete the workflow by re-performing a Stop replication workflow.

Steps

  1. Select a storage system that supports PowerMax File.
  2. Select Data Protection > File Protection.
  3. Select REPLICATION > REPLICATION SESSIONS.
  4. Select a session and click Stop.
  5. Click OK.
